Streatley is a village located just west of the A6, which is the first village on the A6 north of Luton. It is approximately 5.5 miles north of central Luton and nearby villages include Lower Sundon to the west, Sharpenhoe 1.5 miles to the north, and Barton-le-Clay, a larger village about 1.5 miles north on the eastern side of the A6.

The parish includes the village of Streatley and Sharpenhoe. In the south of the parish, it covers both sides of the A6, bordering Luton to the south and the North Hertfordshire district of Hertfordshire to the east. To the north of the village of Streatley, the parish is entirely located to the west of the A6.

The Icknield Way Path, a long-distance footpath, passes through the village on its 110-mile journey from Ivinghoe Beacon in Buckinghamshire to Knettishall Heath in Suffolk. Additionally, the Icknield Way Trail, a multi-user route for walkers, horse riders, and off-road cyclists, also passes through the village.

Mortice locks, which are commonly referred to as 5-lever locks, are the primary locks on many doors )Internals & External doors) and are inserted into a pocket on the side of the door. Insurance companies often require that an appropriate mortice lock be fitted to provide coverage, with the most common standard being BS3621. You can easily check if your lock meets this standard by examining the faceplate for the BS3621 stamp, along with a date and the British Standard Kitemark.

We can recommend alternative locks that meet the BS3621 standard and our locksmiths carry these locks with them at all times, so we can replace your old locks with ease and efficiency. Our skilled professionals use specialised tools and techniques to ensure a smooth installation process, so you can enjoy the peace of mind that comes with having a secure and reliable lock without any unnecessary hassle. To replace an Insurance Approved 5 lever Deadlock, simply arrange an appointment at a time that suits your schedule with LU Locksmith services by calling this number: 0800 707 4203.

Security doors are doors that are specifically designed to provide high levels of protection and security for homes and businesses. These doors are typically made of strong and durable materials such as steel or aluminium and often feature reinforced frames, hinges, and locks to prevent forced entry.

Security doors may come in various styles, such as hinged doors, sliding doors, or bi-fold doors, and can be customized to suit the specific needs and requirements of a property. They may also feature additional security features such as multiple locking points, keyless entry systems, and advanced locking mechanisms.

Some security doors may also be fire-rated, meaning they are designed to provide a certain level of protection against fire and smoke. This can be particularly important for businesses or properties with high occupancy levels, where safety is a top priority.

Overall, security doors are an effective way to enhance the security of a property and provide peace of mind, particularly in areas with high crime rates or where there is a risk of break-ins or vandalism. It is important to choose a reputable and experienced security professional to install security doors to ensure that they are installed correctly and provide optimal protection.
